BRIDGING RESEARCH, INNOVATION AND CARE
A day of interdisciplinary dialogue, shared experiences and visions to inspire new perspectives.
What is changing in scientific research and in the technologies used to treat blood cancers?
What barriers still remain in everyday care, in the organization of healthcare services, and in patients’ quality of life?
And, above all, what truly matters to those living with the disease?
BLOOD CANCER SUMMIT was created to address these questions with an integrated and courageous outlook.
By combining science, innovation, and human storytelling, the Summit gives voice to the key actors in care: researchers, clinicians, patients, caregivers, institutions, and artists.
Because talking about blood cancers today means talking about the future – and about hope as a shared choice, a collective responsibility, and a concrete opportunity for transformation.
BLOOD CANCER SUMMIT serves as a platform for dialogue among physicians and researchers, institutions and healthcare managers, industry representatives and patients.
It aims to connect experts and testimonials in a multidisciplinary, inclusive, participatory, and creative environment.
The Summit is an annual event entirely dedicated to the world of blood cancers, with the goal to:
The mission of the Summit is built upon five pillars:

BLOOD CANCER SUMMIT is designed as an event that is:
BLOOD CANCER SUMMIT brings together all the voices actively engaged in the fight against blood cancers:
This multistakeholder approach ensures a plurality of perspectives, shared languages, and the co-design of sustainable solutions.
BLOOD CANCER SUMMIT 2025 is organized by ISHEO, in collaboration with La Lampada di Aladino – ETS, as part of the Bridge the Gap 2025 project.
“The Blood Cancer Summit is a project that brings together diverse visions under a single goal: to restore dignity, hope, and future to patients affected by blood cancers.”
“We wanted to create a space where art and emotion can become tools for understanding and transforming the experience of illness.”
BLOOD CANCER SUMMIT is unique
In a context dominated by numbers, protocols, and metrics, art restores voice, body, and emotion to the human experience of illness.
It is not a mere accessory but a structural dimension of the Summit – conceived to translate into a universl language what scientific words alone cannot express.
Blood cancers affect not only the body, but also the relationship with oneself, with time, and with others.
Art captures that grey area between diagnosis and lived experience, between medical knowledge and emotional depth.
Within this perspective, the photographic exhibition “IO SONO QUI” (“I AM HERE”) and the the short film “QUI ORA” (“HERE NOW”) are not side elements but instruments of exploration, care, and communication.
The artistic component is based on authentic interviews with patients and caregivers, which serve as the emotional and narrative foundation for:
These artistic creations trace a journey that begins with pain and disorientation and leads – through science and clinical progress – to a message of hope and transformation.
A holistic and transformative approach.
Art transcends traditional boundaries between medicine, psychology, communication, and culture, becoming:
Each edition of the Summit, as an experiential event, generates new artistic content to be integrated into educational, cultural, and institutional initiatives.

What makes Blood Cancer Summit truly unique among healthcare events is the combination of scientific rigor with the expressive power of art – dance, visual arts, performance, literature, installations, and film – as means of narrating the human experience of illness.
The patient’s story is not only told but embodied and shared through body, voice, image, and memory.

it represents the human being within the disease.
